BLACK-THROATED MANGO Anthracothorax nigricollis
The Mango is a monster by hummingbird-standards. He whizzes and hovers in front of a flower like a little spangled helicopter. Though males and females are quite different both can be immediately recognised by their brilliant purple tails, though the female has conspicuous pale tips.
