CORRENDERA PIPIT Anthus correndera
A large pipit easily identified by its bold facial and dorsal markings - the so-called "skunk markings". Common in the Pampas of Argentina, and the common pipit around Buenos Aires, in Paraguay it is an extremely rare straggler. In fact this individual photographed by Rob Clay during a Fauna Paraguay tour represents the first record of the species in Paraguay since 1924!
