GREY-NECKED WOOD-RAIL Aramides cajanea
Of the three Wood-Rails this is the one most closely tied to wetlands. It reaches it greatest abundance in the Paraguayan Pantanal where they can be surprisingly bold, though they soon panic at the presence of an observer, sprinting for the nearest cover - and its never very far away!
