FLAT-FACED FRUIT-EATING BAT Artibeus planirostris
Three species of Artibeus are present in Paraguay, all are relatively similar in appearance. This species is identified by its size - it is the smallest of the Paraguayan Artibeus - it has a yellowish tragus and sometimes (but not always) lacks the lateral lines on the head which are present in other members of the genus.
