GREY HAWK Buteo nitidus
A handsome, ghostly white Buteo, though common in the north of its range (reaching Mexico) this species is little-recorded in Paraguay where it seems to be confined to remote areas of the northern Chaco. This was species was until recently placed in the genus Asturina on account of its unusual plumage.
