LARGE VESPER MOUSE Calomys callosus
The largest of the Calomys in Paraguay with the tail slightly shorter than head and body length. Dark grey-brown dorsally and greyish ventrally, this is a species of open areas, including those heavily-affected by human activity. The tail is bicoloured and sparsely haired.
