SMALL VESPER MOUSE Calomys laucha
The smallest of the Calomys in Paraguay with the tail slightly shorter than head and body length. This species superficially resembles Mus musculus, but can be distinguished by the presence of whitish patches behind the ears. This species is typical of arid areas and is able to survive for long periods without free water. It climbs well.
