THRUSH-LIKE WREN Campylorhynchus turdinus
A big wren with a big bubbling voice, the Thrush-like is named more for its size than the potential for confusing it with a thrush!! It is a common species in the northern half of the country, but tends to confine itself to the tree-tops (especially palms!) and its skulking behaviour makes it difficult to observe. They are social in behaviour, occurring in small groups and can be seen in the most unlikely of places - including the Plaza Uruguaya in Central Asunción! As you can see, it might be widespread but its not an easy species to photograph!!
