CHESTNUT-CAPPED BLACKBIRD Chrysomus ruficapillus
A marsh blackbird, males superficially resembling a cowbird with a strange buzzy voice, at least until the light catches them and the rich chestnut crown and throat become apparent. Chestnut-capped Blackbirds are a sociable species. large flocks often accumulating to roost in reedbeds.
