COMMON DIUCA-FINCH Diuca diuca
Common further south in the continent, there are just two records of this large, distinctive finch from Paraguay. The first is this mysterious specimen which lacks data but was likely collected over 60 years ago in the Central Chaco by the Mennonite Jakob Unger and is now housed in his eponymously-named museum. The second a single bird at Laguna Ganso in July 2001, observed by Alejandro Bodrati.
