MATO GROSSO OVAL FROG Elachistocleis matogrosso
A newly described member of this complex genus of frogs, the Mato Grosso Oval Frog can be distinguished from the very similar Elachistocleis bicolor by his longer head, less well-defined femoral line and the presence of a longitudinal mid-dorsal line. The species has recently been discovered in Paraguay at Laguna Blanca by Para La Tierra fieldworkers, click the link below to download the publication.
