ENG: White Mimic-White, White Pretty

JIZ: Medium-small with elongated, rounded forewings with somewhat pointed apex. Hindwing large and rounded. Antennae long and downcurved, abdomen elongated and legs long. No sexual dimorphism. Poses with wings folded. FLI: Fluttery and weak at low height.
UPP: (Fig 1-2) Forewing mostly white with creamy tinge. Apex black with single rounded creamy-white spot close to corner of wing. Black apex extends down outer margin almost to tornus with variable single spur on inner edge at posterior limit. Hindwing wholly white with creamy tinge.
UND:  (Fig 1-2)
Forewing white, strongly tinged yellow at margins and with a conspicuous black band where apex meets postmedial zone of wing. Hindwing strongly tinged yellow, slightly paler towards outer margin and traversed by two parallel, smudgy "pencil lines", the uppermost beginning basally and branching slightly at opposite extreme.
BOD: Underside of head and thorax bright yellow. Underside of abdomen yellow-white, upperside blue-grey. Upperside of head and thorax blackish-grey. Antennae black, minutely barred white. Legs blue-grey. Eyes green. Proboscis black.
MMT: A medium-small yellowish Dismorphiid. CL - 23mm; BL - 21mm; AB - 13mm; WS - 44mm; HW - 2mm; AL - 12mm; n=1 (1M).
SSP:
This species is unmistakeable. Typically Dismorphiid in shape and with diagnostic parallel lines across the underside of the hindwing. Despite common name it is distinctly yellowish in tone and on a brief view may present momentary confusion with certain small Coliadinids. Note however the much longer antennae, elongated abdomen, long legs and long wings.

ABU: Uncommon.
HAB: Open, scrubby areas, gardens and orchards.
HOS: Plants in the family Mimosoideae. (Canals 2003).
