Small to medium-sized beetles with dull or bright metallic colouration. They are subglobose to oblong-oval in shape. The head is deflexed anteriorly and the eyes are very slightly or entirely emarginate. Elytra cover the pygidium. Antennae are filiform and procoxae are round and globose, separated by the prosternum. Third tarsal segment is conspicuously bilobed. Larvae feed on roots.
