Eurema albula sinoe (Godart 1819)
ENG: Ghost Yellow
ESP:
Alba
JIZ:  Small size and distinctly rounded wings. No sexual dimorphism. Poses with wings folded. FLI: Fluttery and weak but straight.
UPP: (Fig 1-4) Forewing white with broad black apex extending three-quarters of the way along the apical margin and halfway along the costal margin. Hindwings wholly white, sometimes with slight creamy tinge (Fig 3-4) but never yellow.
UND:
Variable (Fig 1-4), generally white, though some specimens have a distinctly creamy tinge to the underside of the hindwing and/or apex of the forewing (Fig 3-4). Scattered dark markings on the underwing again are variable and may be completely absent (Fig 1) or relatively heavy (Fig 3-4). Black "colon" on underside of hind wing frequently present even when other marks are absent (Fig 2).
BOD: Upperside of head black. Underside of head and body white. Antennae black slightly downcurved at clubs. Abdomen white with black medial line, sometimes with slight creamy tinge. Upper thorax black.
MMT: A small white Coliadinid. CL - 19mm (18-21mm); BL - 15.8mm (15-16mm); AB - 9mm; WS - 37.3mm (35-40mm); HW - 2mm; AL - 7.8mm (7.5-8mm); n=3 (2M 1F).
SSP:
Unlikely to be confused. Though superficially similar in pattern to other Eurema and Pyritisia species, this is the only one with a predominately white upperwing. Some specimens may show a yellowish tinge to the underwing but it is never strongly yellow. See also certain Dismorphiinae, which can always be distinguished by their much longer wings, abdomen, legs and antennae.

ABU: Frequent.
HAB: Open, scrubby areas, gardens and orchards.
HOS: Plants in the family Fabaceae including Senna and Parkinsonia. (Canals 2003).
