BAT FALCON Falco rufigularis
The Bat Falcon is a dwarf amongst falcons, but don´t be fooled by his size, as he is in possession of all the same weapons as his larger relatives, a hooked bill, sharp talons and a capacity for ambush that is frightening, assuming you happen to be a bat or a large insect. As his name suggests bats make up a major proportion of the diet, and the birds are most active in the early evening when their main prey emerges.
