GUIRA TANAGER Hemithraupis guira
Like a little gold nugget bouncing through the tree-tops the male Guira Tanager is one of the most beautiful inhabitants of the Atlantic Forest canopy. They are social birds, moving around in roving flocks and often acting as the nuclear species in mixed groups - announcing the arrival of some major birding activity with their tinny "toy trumpet" calls.
