AZARA´S HYLAEAMYS Hylaeamys megacephalus
Formerly placed in the genus Oryzomys, this species was split into a different genus following a systematic review of the group. This species undergoes a change of colour as it ages, being black when juvenile, grey when subadult and brown when adult.
