KURUPI TREE-FROG Hypsiboas curupi
Name after the Guaraní legendary monster rapist with a penis so long that he had to wrap it around his waist, this frog is rather less sinister than his namesake. A recently described species of Atlantic Forest areas it was for a long time confused with Hypsiboas semiguttatus, which is now removed from the Paraguayan list. This species is also present in northern Argentina.
