BLACKSMITH TREE-FROG Hypsiboas faber
One of the largest Paraguayan tree-frogs, this impressive species is named for his call, a resounding TONK-TONK-TONK which sounds like a blacksmith hammering away on an anvil. If you are going to handle this species watch out for the sharp spines on the forefeet!
