JAEGERīS LIOPHIS Erythrolamprus jaegeri
Like other species of Liophis this species is a fast-moving, ground-dwelling snake. It is a brightly-coloured and common species usually found in grasslands, especially close to water. In common with other member of the genus it is a non-venomous and inoffensive species, preferring to use its speed to escape danger. They feed mainly on amphibians and lay up to 14 eggs.
