COMMON WATER LIOPHIS Erythrolamprus miliaris
Like other species of Liophis this species is a fast-moving, ground-dwelling snake. This species is usually found in close association with water where it swims expertly, pursuing prey by swimming with mouth open and escaping its own predators by diving underwater. They feed mainly on small fish, tadpoles and small frogs.
