YELLOW BRIDLED SNAKE Lygophis flavifrenatus
Formerly classified in the genus Liophis, this is a fast-moving snake that is as comfortable on the ground as it is in bushes and trees. It prefers to hunt in open fields where it captures small lizards, amphibians and occasionally mammals and birds. This is an uncommon snake found mainly in the far south of the country.
