STRIPED SKINK Manicola guaporicola
Skinks are a distinctive almost cosmopolitan family of cylindrical bodied or slightly flattened lizards. This is a large but uncommonly encountered nocturnal species of arid grasslands. It can be instantly distinguished from the other Paraguayan species by the orange stain around the lips.
