MAXIMILLIAN´S BLUE-TAILED MICROTEIID Micrablepharus maximiliani
A cool-looking skink-like lizard that is instantly recognisable by its striped body and contrasting blue tail. It is a rarely-recorded lizard (more likely because of the difficulties involved in catching and observing it than because of actual rarity) and occurs in dry grassy and forested areas, especially in the cerrado zone.
