COLLARED FOREST-FALCON Micrastur semitorquatus
A large and distinctive falcon of forested areas. However if you want to go about seeing him youŽd do better to learn his voice first. Particularly vocal in the early morning and evening, their repetitive, resonant GOW call is a familiar sound over much of the country. Seeing the bird though is rather more difficult. He is usually up high in the canopy, hidden from view.
