SILVER-TIPPED MYOTIS Myotis albescens
Myotis are small Vespertilionid bats that create a number of identification difficulties. Fortunately amongst the Paraguayan members of the family the Silver-tipped Myotis is one of the easiest to identify on account of the silvery hairs on the upperside and whitish tinge to the underparts. Like all Myotis the Silver-tipped is insectivorous and is often found close to water.
