NEOTROPICAL WATER RAT Nectomys rattus
A large, semi-aquatic rodent adapted to waterside habitats. This species can be identified by its partially webbed hindfeet with their scaly soles. These rats are as home in the water as they are on land, their smooth glossy fur helping keep them waterproofed.
