OCELLATED POORWILL Nyctiphrynus ocellatus
A forest species that is easy enough to hear but a lot more difficult to see. With a preference for dense tangled vegetation, and often perching in the canopy you can spend several frustrating hours looking for eyeshine. If you do get lucky though and one sits out in the open you can confirm the identification with the extensive white in the tail and those eyecatching white spots on the underparts.
