BAND-TAILED NIGHTHAWK Nyctiprogne leucopyga
A special nighthawk for Paraguayan birders, found only in the extreme northern Pantanal along the Rio Negro. It is pretty common there, the birds swooping nightly along the river with their distinctive martin-like flight, scooping up moths and other flying insects with their massive gapes.
