MAMORE OECOMYS Oecomys mamorae
A long-tailed mouse with a greyish-tan dorsum and orange wash on the flanks that extends to the hindlegs and base of the tail. It is arboreal in behaviour and inhabits thorny thickets and forest. Records of Oecomys bicolor and O.concolor from Paraguay both refer to this species and to further complicate matters the genus was formerly included in Oligoryzomys!
