CRESTED BECARD Pachyramphus validus
A real big-head, in the literal sense of the word, the Crested Becard is the largest member of the group in Paraguay. Males are a dull sooty greyish colour, but females with their chestnut upperparts are more attractive. Crested Becards are canopy birds and are easily overlooked because of their habit of sitting still for long peridods.
