PLUMBEOUS RAIL Pardirallus sanguinolentus
Secretive denizens of marshy habitats, this dull-coloured rail is distinguished with care from the Blackish Rail. Note the coloured spots at the base of the bill and the spotted as opposed to uniform upperparts. This species is most often detected by voice, seeing it takes a little more patience!
