TROPICAL PARULA Parula pitiayumi
Parulas, as North American birders will already know, are charming little canopy warblers with bright yellow underparts. In Paraguay they are remarkably adaptable, occurring pretty much anywhere there are trees with insects - you are as likely to run into them in the Chaco as you are in the humid forest. They are habitual followers of mixed species flocks, flitting about actively and foraging acrobatically in an effort to secure the tastiest morsels.
