SPOT-WINGED PIGEON Patagioenas maculosa
Further south in the continent this large pigeon is a common inhabitant of town parks. In Paraguay, the extreme northern extent of its range, its habitat choice is rather more limited. Though most likely to be seen in the area of the Rio Pilcomayo, occasional wanderers reach the central Chaco.
