CERRADO RACER Philodryas livida CERRADO VULNERABLE
This is an extremely rare cerrado snake previously known from a handful of specimens in Brazil. The first Paraguayan specimen was found in Laguna Blanca during March 2011. It is a distinctive Philodryas, not likely confused with other members of the genus on account of its colouration, and was previously placed in its own genus Platynion.
