OCHRE-BREASTED FOLIAGE-GLEANER Philydor lichtensteini ATLANTIC FOREST
The Ochre-breasted Foliage-gleaner is one of the gymnasts of the Atlantic forest, capable of incredible agility in the unending quest for food. Hanging upside-down, perching on trunks and running along branches, nothing is beyond the capability of this forest acrobat. He is usually found with mixed species flocks, but unlike many species which have their preferred strata of the forest, the OBFG forages at all levels, from the densest undergrowth to the highest canopy trees.
