GEOFFROY´S SIDE-NECKED TURTLE Phrynops geoffroanus
Theoretically widespread in eastern Paraguay, there are however very few modern records from the basins of the Paraná and Paraguay rivers. The species can be identified by the marbled pattern of the dorsal surface of the head, which sometimes combines into stripes.
