RETICULATED LEAF FROG Phyllomedusa tetraploidea
This is a rare, humid forest Leaf Frog, only recently confirmed for Paraguay in Departamento Itapúa. Living as it does in one of the most populated and threatened areas of the country it is highly likely that the species faces a serious conservation threat in Paraguay. Note the prominent tympanic membrane or "ear" which most easily separated this species from the Earless Leaf Frog.
