GREENISH TYRANNULET Phyllomyias virescens ATLANTIC FOREST
Dumpy, short-billed and with a peculiar cock-tailed pose reminiscent of the Yellow-olive Flycatcher, the Greenish Tyrannulet is not as confusing as he first appears to be. Note the pale base to his bill and fact that the supercilium stops just behind the eye and you will be well on your way to separating him from other Atlantic Forest tyrranulets. And if he droops his wings as your watching him (FPAVE2274PH - FPAVE2275PH) then you have just clinched the ID!!
