FAWN-BREASTED TANAGER Pipraeidea melanonota
Of all the birds in the humid forest, the Fawn-breasted Tanager must rank as one of the most stunning. Males are electric blue with a black mask, red eye and warm fawn-coloured underparts. Females are duller, almost greyish above, and on a brief view may even be mistaken for a male Black-goggled Tanager!
