CHACO WARBLING-FINCH Poospiza pectoralis CHACO
An attractive little finch with bold black, white and grey markings, it is a shame that to catch a glimpse of him you have to head up to the driest areas of the Chaco. Here in scrubby tangles one or two can often be seen accompanying large mixed flocks of seed-eating birds. This species is a split from the Ringed Warbling Finch Poospzia torquata which, following a recent revision of the group, is now considered to be confined to Bolivia.
