BROWN RAT Rattus norvegicus
The Brown or Norway Rat has come a long way from its Old Word origins, living as an unwelcome commensal of man almost anywhere he dares to tread. A large rat, they are primarily terrestrial in habits and have invaded almost every inch of the globe. Despised for their reputation for carrying disease, Brown Rats are actually extremely intelligent creatures and worthy of our respect, if only for the fact that they have proved themselves more than capable of following manīs expansion every step of the way.
