SUBFAMILY - SMERINTHINAE
All Paraguayan members of this subfamily belong to the tribe Ambulycini. The larvae can be identified on account of their characteristically triangular heads. Pay careful note to the anteromedial line and subapical dark spots of the forewing for identification of Adhemarius sp.
