ANGOUYA SOORETAMYS Sooretamys angouya
A very large humid forest rat with pelage sharply demarcated between the dorsum and ventrum. This species is characterised by prominent tufts of hair at the bases of the claws, short ears that do not reach the eye when folded forwards and soles of the feet that are densely scaled. Also known as Tuft-toed Rice Rat.
