ORNATE HAWK-EAGLE Spizaetus ornatus
The most commonly encountered of the hawk eagles in Paraguay, this majestic beast is unfortunately still a rare sight in Paraguay. A denizen of large forests, themselves an increasingly rare sight, they feed primarily on monkeys, soaring above the tree tops and plucking their unwitting prey from above.
