WHITE-BELLIED SEEDEATER Sporophila leucoptera
The White-bellied is a big seedeater usually found near water. Singing males produce a strange, shrill call, quite unlike that of other seedeaters and immediately diagnostic. Unlike other Seedeaters, the White-bellied tends not to flock, being encountered alone or in pairs and occasionally loosely associating with mixed species aggregations.
