SOUTHERN ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOW Stelgidopteryx ruficollis
This dull brown swallow often causes people identification issues on account of its dull brown plumage. However look closely and you will see he is not a dull brown juvenile of another species, but a subtly handsome species of his own. Note his rufous throat and whitish ventral area which contrast with the dull breast and subtly paler, barely contrasting rump.
