ORANGE-HEADED TANAGER Thlypopsis sordida
An uncommon canopy tanager, the Orange-headed Tanager may appear to be a distinctive species with a distinctive name. But check out the female Chestnut-headed Tanager and you´ll see that it maybe isn´t as easy as you might have suspected. To give you a clue, Chestnut-headed is a bird of undergrowth in humid forest, whilst Orange-headed is a canopy bird that prefers riparian areas.
