RUFOUS-BELLIED THRUSH Turdus rufiventris
The Rufous-bellied is the largest Paraguayan thrush and with its bright orange underparts also one of the easiest to identify. Despite their size these are shy thrushes, preferring to forage on the ground in dense cover or plucking fruit from trees in season. This species is arguably the owner of the sweetest voice of any Paraguayan thrush.
